Irish Elm Celtic Trinity heart necklace

Adorned with a small green wooden bead, this striking Celtic heart necklace features a piece of elm wood which would make a perfect gift for all occasions.
In Irish folklore, carrying a leaf or twig of elm was said to help win the affection of someone you desired.

The ancient Irish built no temples; instead, they treated nature as a temple. Sacred trees and groves were considered as sanctuaries and were often the location of celebrations. Considered one of the sacred trees in the Celtic world, elm has often been associated with Mother and Earth Goddesses. In rural Ireland the elm tree was said to possess magical properties (bringing light, love and wisdom) and was considered to be the home of the fairies.

(All pieces will come on a necklace and will be presented in a box)

Juliette Poliautre has been living in Galway, on the west coast of Ireland for several years. She did an apprenticeship with a local luthier where she specialised in the decoration and adornment of stringed instruments. Juliette then went on to making Celtic-themed jewellery, incorporating these same woods and delicate techniques into her designs. They quickly proved very popular with both friends and neighbours and now her jewellery pieces are known worldwide.
